Mission
Rooted in collaboration and community, Tainan’s Texture Printmaking Studio was founded in 2014 for those who wish to pursue printmaking, but are hindered by the cost and size of equipment associated with the medium. Through offering studio rental, workshops, and private instruction, Texture hopes to bridge this gap and provide a space for both experienced artists and complete novices to experience the art of printmaking.
In addition to providing a physical space to create, our studio is committed to growing a printmaking community that extends beyond borders. In 2016, Texture ran it’s first annual printmaking exchange project “Exchanging Texture”, attracting 71 creators from 9 countries. Texture also offers a residency program for domestic and international artists, so that we may further foster creative exchange between printmakers.
